L'Orchestre de Chambre Français
with Eugene Albulescu (piano), Jitka Hosprová (viola), or Kyung Sun Lee (violin)

The L'Orchestre de Chambre Français is based in Senlis, north of Paris, as the resident orchestra of the 18th Century Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne, France's most famous theater for French music. The passion, daring and imagination of the French Chamber Orchestra make it equally at home in baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary music. Its talented instrumentalists play orchestral music in the spirit of chamber music. The orchestra has performed extensively in Paris (Salle Pleyel, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Palais des Congrès, and throughout France. In addition, it performs regularly in Switzerland, Belgium (Palais des Beaux-Arts/Brussels), Germany, England and the Czech Republic. The ensemble made its debut in the USA at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center and returned in 2003 to tour the East Coast.

The orchestra performs regularly with such well-known soloists as Maurice André, (trumpet), and Jean-Claude Pennetier, (piano). The French Chamber Orchestra has recorded several CDs and received an award at the famous "Victoires de la Musique" on French National TV in 2001. They concluded their March 2005 tour of the US with a stunning performance for a capacity crowd at the National Gallery. The Washington Post raved that their performance "sparkled with gracious, stylish playing, as ripe yet lucid Gallic harmonies were enlivened by decorous plucking."

Debussy's "Petit Suite" and "La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin" sparkled with gracious, stylish playing, as ripe yet lucid Gallic harmonies were enlivened by decorous plucking.
