Kyung Sun Lee/Brian Suits Duo,
Violin & Piano

For more than ten years, the dynamic husband and wife duo of Kyung Sun Lee and Brian Suits have been captivating audiences with their blend of superb musicianship, ravishing sound, and heart-warming charm. A stunning virtuoso, Kyung Sun Lee won prizes in six international competitions and maintains a busy solo career, while Brian Suits is not only a pianist of note, but also a widely recognized composer, arranger, and conductor. The duo has cultivated a performance style which satisfies the most demanding connoisseur while winning over the classical neophyte. They have performed to acclaim across the U.S., including tours with Community Concerts. Their recitals are characterized not only by compelling renditions of the masterworks, but also by a surprisingly innovative blend of lesser-known repertoire, including "lost" masterpieces from the past and Suits's own harmonically opulent, rhythmically charged works. Suits and Lee enliven their performances with informative background commentary on the works presented.

Suits is a former faculty member of Yale University and Lee is currently on the faculty of the Oberlin Conservatory. They both enjoy working with young people of all ages and are superb teachers.

Lee and Suits played with a penetrating clarity, a strong sense of style and a technical supremacy that conquered all difficulties with unruffled ease.
